The
harbour walls of Beadnell were built in the 1790's where the lime
kilns of that date still remain. There are some excellent sandy
beaches and safe yatching in the wide Beadnell Bay.
Some of the best sailing on the Northumberland coast is to be
had here. The village provides the usual small shops and good
eating houses. This is one of the most popular holiday villages
on the coast.
